Le CIJ offre des opportunités stimulantes et engageantes pour lutter contre les discriminations, les inégalités et l'injustice en Europe par le biais du plaidoyer, de la recherche et de l'analyse des politiques. Nous recherchons des personnes ayant un esprit analytique et critique, d'excellentes compétences en matière de communication et relations interpersonnelles, qui ne reculent ni devant la complexité, ni devant l'apparente impossibilité de résoudre les problèmes. As an Associated Expert

Leading academics, lawyers, journalists, activists, writers and practitioners striving for equality can be affiliated to the Center for Intersectional Justice as Associated Experts. CIJ pools their expertise, critical perspectives, creativity and extensive experience to protect and promote the rights of those structurally marginalized in our societies.


Associated Experts contribute to the work of CIJ through publications, campaigns, events, advocacy, and specific projects. Their engagement pertains to intersectional issues within the areas of their experience and expertise.


Requirements:


  • Long-time commitment to intersectional justice
  • Explicit intersectional approach to anti-racism, feminism, LGBTQI*+ issues, disability and other forms of inequality, as well as solid understanding of the intersections of power, privilege, representation and structural inequality.
  • Expertise, academic or otherwise, in one or more of CIJ’s areas of work
  • Strong identification with the values, mission, vision and goals of CIJ

As an Intern

CIJ welcomes interns for a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 6 months. Interns will learn about the inner-workings of CIJ, gaining insight into advocacy, campaigning, research and policy analysis. We offer a highly stimulating, open, and creative working environment with flexible working hours.


Primary responsibilities will include:


  • Organising events and reaching out to partner organisations and associated experts
  • Researching gender, migration, asylum, anti-discrimination, equal opportunity policies and analysing their effectiveness and impact.
  • Assisting operations and development efforts.
  • Contributing to publications and other materials.
  • Social Media communication.
  • Updating the website.
  • Contributing to ongoing projects as needed.


We also encourage interns with specialized interests such as graphic design, multimedia, digital storytelling, etc.


We are currently looking for interns in the following areas:

  • Communication and PR
  • Fundraising

As a Research Fellow

CIJ welcomes self-driven students of all disciplines writing their doctoral thesis on topics pertaining to intersectional justice in Europe for research stays. As a host institution, CIJ provides an outstanding hands-on, policy-oriented learning environment as well as an extensive network of researchers working on intersectional issues in Europe and internationally.


Features of the hosting process:


  • Students are hosted for all or part of the time they are working on their thesis
  • CIJ does not confer degrees. All students hosted by CIJ must be enrolled in a university.
  • Students commit to actively engaging in the work of CIJ through regular contributions and at least one policy-oriented publication.
  • All students hosted at CIJ must receive external funding to write their thesis. We are currently in the process of organising grants and scholarships and hope to be able to fund the fellowships in the future.
